wullenstudio superwash merino sock yarn
wullenstudio superwash sock yarn is individually hand dyed. While the basic color remains the same, no two skeins will ever be identical. Merino wool and nylon pair up to bring you a soft, luxurious yarn with lovely stitch definition. The monochromatic tones are perfect for knitting lace, but just as beautiful if knitting in stockinette.
Each skein has 450 yards, more than adequate for a generous sized pair of socks.

wullenstudio stitch markers
Stitch markers hand crafted with sterling silver, Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones, will take your breath away. Whether used one at a time, to mark the back of your sock, or several at a time, to mark your stitch repeats, these markers act as tiny jewels to make your knitting hours even more satisfying.
The ring is sterling silver and is soldered closed so that there are no openings to catch on your yarn. Similarly, the stones are attached by sterling silver wire, again with the ends covered by the stone to prevent snagging.
We have designed the markers in 30 different stones. Within the design of a set, one marker has a small silver bead that can be used to mark the back of a sock. Markers are sold individually and in sets.

Spun on the only spinning mule still used in the United States, Bartlettyarns produces a lofty, wonderful knitting yarn, as close to hand spun as one can get by machine. The colors have a heathery look to them and the stitch definition is beyond compare. In looking for a great basic worsted weight wool many years ago, this was and remains, by far, our favorite. With Bartlettyarn, our favorite basic knitting yarn, we have knitted sweaters for generations.The touch is a little stiff at first, but when washed and blocked, the yarn fulls nicely and softens. This is the wool you are looking for Aran and fisherman's knit sweaters. We have used this for color work and some felting as well.

We have developed a worsted weight yarn in the same vibrant colors as our wullenstudio sock yarns. For years we have used the left over yarn, doubled, to knit mittens by the basket full. One mitten never matching any other. At one point all the children in the neighborhood had our mismatched mittens on their little hands!
We have developed these colors to supplement the Barlettyarns vast array of colors. Woolen caps are exquisite in these yarns.
